I put one on the inside of the front door of the house I am renting and two on the exterior doors leading to the backyard. The front door one is still working because it is not exposed to the elements. The back door ones have been replaced by another brand because they would not "permanently" adhere to the door. The adhesive strips are very difficult to peel off from the backing(this gets expensive when you're paying a handyman to do the peeling) and when I finally decided to get rid of the protectors I'd placed on the back door because they kept falling off, the few strips that had managed to stay stuck took the paint with with them when I was finally able to pull them off the door. As I want my security deposit back when I move out of this rental, I am now going to have to pay a painter to touch up the door. The whole reason I bought these protectors was so I would not have to pay someone to restore the doors to their original condition. As I am happy with the protector on my front door, I cannot give this product an entirely bad rating. The company that makes this product simply needs to invent a better adhesive strip AND include more of them in the package so you always have extra in case one falls off or you want to secure the protector with adhesive strips placed closer together.
