I have an older vehicle that only has lapbelts in the backseat. It works with a lapbelt, but works better with a shoulder strap seat belt. This is a must have if you really want to keep your pet secure and safe when driving. It also keeps the driver safe from distractions from a dog moving all over the car. Now that I have the Seat Belt Harness, I can't imagine that I was driving around for so long without one for my sweet doggie!

I bought this product mainly for the harness. I wanted to be able to control my dog, Marley, better while going for walks because she can sometimes become aggressive towards other dogs. I also wanted to make sure I could secure her while riding in the car. This product serves both purposes and I could not be more satisfied! I only wish I had bought another one. Should this one ever wear out (which I am not sure that it will), or if I rescue another dog, I will DEFINATELY buy another one. GREAT PRODUCT!!

As I was plannng for a long road trip with my miniature poodle, I searched for a good quality harness to keep him safe as well as myself. I could not take the chance he would jump on my lap while I was driving on the interstate.
The harness was simple to use and comfortable for him. When I made stops, unhooking the clasp and attaching his leash was very quick and effortless. It made the road trip with him very enjoyable. Surprisingly, he actually liked the secure feeling of being buckled in. I'll never travel without it.

Our ~72 lbs dog is a rabbit chaser so the harness works much better to control her on walks than her collar.
With repeated tugging on the harness, the ring that hooks the straps together separated. We squeezed back together (after reattaching strap) and soldered the joint.

I knew I needed a harness to keep my puppy safe in car but I wasnt sure how to shop for one. This is exactly what I wanted and it has great cushioning to keep my little doggy comfortable and secure. This is the very best concept in dog travel safety.I am so impressed with the ease and fast attachment of this dog seat belt. When I first received this harness I was very impressed with the quality! When I took my dog Lexie on a 2,000 mile trip I was completely secure with her safety! And she never minded when I put this on her. Maybe she liked feeling secure as well! This is the best item I have ever ordered for any of my pets. The cloth is strong and the metal hooks and clasps are strong. I am even considering using this when we go for a walk so I am not pulling on her neck as a standard collar. I love this harness. We got a different one first, that was fine but the seat belt attachment wouldn't work in our older vehicle (97 Honda Accord) so had to get an additional one. This attachment will work with any seat belt & I prefer this harness to the other. It is easy to put on, the straps don't get twisted. It seems very sturdy & comfortable. We like it so much better, we now use it in both vehicles, just leave seat belt attachment in each.

I bought this seat belt for safety for my boxer incase we ever had a car accident that she will be protected. She does not have any problems riding in the car and I thought putting the seat belt on her was going to make her uncomfortable but it was the opposite. She loves to wear it and she feels comfortable enough to lay down, sit or change positions in the car seat if she wants. It does not irritate her skin when she moves around like other seat belts do. It is extremely easy to store in the car and does not take any space at all. Cleaning is extremelly easy and the material stays the same even after you have washed it a few times. This is by far the best comfortable seat belt I have ever purchased for any of my pets. I recommended it to any one a 100%.

Our lab/shepherd mix picked up the idea of this doggy seat-rather quickly. She does sometimes get tangled while trying to spin before laying down so we keep an eye out to make sure she hasn't inadvertently gotten herself tethered too tightly to the belt attachment. Overall, it's a solid product that helps prevent her from becoming a projectile if we were to be an accident.

I purchased this product for my 43 lb Labradoodle. I drove him across country in my MINI which meant he had to sit up front so I could put all of the luggage in the rest of the car. I wanted to make sure he would be secure and not go flying off the seat if I had to stop suddenly (don't worry, the airbag was off). After looking at a number of products I settled on this one mostly because of the design--it has a soft fleece chest strap which I preferred since he'd be wearing it for several hours a day. It was very simple to put on him, didn't aggravate his skin around the legs or anything like that, and attached easily to the shoulder strap in the car giving him plenty of slack to move around, lie down, sit up, etc but still keep him safe. Great product and a more reasonable price than other similar products.

My husband and I likes this so much we bought one for each car. It's not perfect - sometimes my lab gets a little tangled up. But it helps so much when getting out of the car (we know he can't bolt) and helps keep him in the backseat while we're driving. We drove 1900 miles in three days with two dogs, both in seat belt harnesses in the back seat of our car. They were able to sit up, lie down, look out the window, etc. - but all safely. We were comforted to know that they would not become trajectories in case of an accident or sudden stop.

This product is great. Its easy to use, I just slip it over her head and snap the buckles around her chest and she is good to go. We like that its padded to give her extra cushioning if we are ever in an accident. Its great that she can sit, lay down, and look out the window all the while safe in her harness, unlike the brands where the dog has to sit the entire time. There are a couple of things I have become aware of with this product. When the harness is attached to the lap part of the seat belt, my dog gets a little tangled in it when she is laying down. I attach it now after she is already laying so this stops happening. I do wish you could purchase extra connection straps. We have two cars and would like to have one in each, so we don't have to move the strap each time we use the other car.

This pet harness is awkward for my 12 pound shih tzu. I bought the small size; however it is still too large for her. I do like the cushioning on harness itself. It is the straps that hold her in that are too long. The harness is very convienent to move around the car, and it is easy to "buckle" my dog into safety. I would recommend this to people with larger dogs.

This restraint allows my Golden Retriever to move or change position (such as sitting up & lying down) more easily without sacrificing safety. It's also easier to use -- just a 1-clip hook up. This seems like a great product. I hope I'm never in a situation where I need to test its strength but it seems like it would do its job. i use this every time i take my dog in the car. i feel safer that she is not able to jump up and distract me while i drive. she is safer, because she won't fly out of the car. if she outgrows this, i'll definitely be buying her the next size. but, it's gotten her from 10 pounds to 25 pounds so far, and it's still on a pretty small setting

I purchased the seat belt harness and feel secure that my little shi-poo will be safe and sound while driving around town, etc. The harness is handsome looking and easy to attach to both my dog and seat belt. So far so good, but I guess the true test will come in a sudden stop.

This has been a great purchase for us. With a young puppy who chews anything and everything, we are now on our second--but don't consider this a mark against the product. I would imagine that an average dog will have his harness for quite a while; a teething puppy is an exception. The material looks and feels quite comfortable and Lucy doesn't seem to mind it a bit. It makes her much easier to control during walks and prevents her from wandering all over the car during drives. The style is practical and simple, nothing too frilly, which is fine with me. The harness is easy to put on and remove and the seatbelt attachment is simple to use.

I should mention that our second harness seems to have a bit of a quirk. The left shoulder pad tends to fold beneath itself and frequent adjustments are needed.
