I have a 6 yr. old St Bernard and an 11 yr old Shepard. I searched all over trying to find something that helped me get my aging pups in my Bronco. This is the perfect step.
My Lucy is an 80 lb lab/retriever mix that is 7 yrs old and not easy for her to jump into the car any longer......this is ther perfect solution..she can actually walk up the steps and she likes it..unlike the ramp which she would not use......try it - you'll like it! I recommend it!
My dogs like this much better than the ramps. Also it folds down to a more compact size than the ramp; therefore, I find that it stores much better.
The Pet Loader is great. It has been a life saver for me and my 8 year Rottwieler who loves riding in the car. Since she has gotten older its hard on her joint jumping out of my SUV. I tried the a ramp but she did not like it. So I found the Pet Loader and we love it...
I wish I bought this product sooner!! Best purchased made I tell everyone about it! Better then a ramp. My dog who is a large dog also can't really see would not use a ramp but when I got the pet loader, she loves it!! It saves on lifting her up in a truck or having her injure herself jumping in and out. Even my mom's dog loves it!!!

Took a bit of time for dog to get comfortable with it but once he figured it out, it was great. It's a little tricky to handle it when you're putting the dog in the car and have him on leash. But it sets up easily and is very stable. My guy weighs 95 lbs. and it doesn't waver at all. He's thrilled to be able to come with me again. As he's gotten older (12 yrs old) he had a few stumbles in the SUV before that made him weary of getting in the car. Now it's like he was 2 again.
The only reason I mention the weight is that we are no longer spring chickens and so it can be a little clunky until you get used to it but once you do, oh boy it is great. We have an older dog with extreme arthritic problems and she has shied away from ramps but she has no problem with the steps. I would and have recommended these steps.
Product works great! With just a few practices our 9 Yr old, 120 Yellow Lab was running up and down the steps! Not only is great for the dog, but it saves on my back - no more picking him up and putting him in the truck!
I bought the steps for my two german shepheards. The steps are sturdy but to narrow for them to feel comfortable climbing up. I believe with a little training they will use the steps. My 13 year old cat loves them and we keep the steps in the garage for her her.
i have 2 large german shepherd dogs and i didn't want them jumping in and out of the pick up truck---i ordered the steps & love them. the dogs walk & up down them with no problem so much better than a ramp and saves their hips.
Really glad that I purchased these steps. My German Shepherd mix is getting older and has a hard time getting into the back of the car. I'd bought a ramp before and she refused to use it. She uses the steps without any problem. Only took a couple of times to train her. (I used treats and put them on the steps and she followed them up to the car.)
This product was purchased because I can no longer
lift my pets. I use it with my truck, my van, and my travel trailer. The steps are adjustable by taking out a step to equal the height measurement for your needs. The unit folds and is on rollers for easy portability. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for steps that are stable, made of QUALITY components, and easy to use.

To load my GSD into my Jeep....it's easier on him that jumping in, as he's a VERY LARGE German Shepherd, and I worry about soft tissue stress.By the way, our Westie uses it too...This is way better than the ramp, because it's easier to store in the Jeep, and I didn't have to "convince" the dogs to use it....they understand steps, but they didn't "get" the ramp.[...]
