The cover has a cushiony seat that my dog seems to enjoy and several straps that fasten it securely. It also fully covers the head rest and as the color I chose closely matches my interior it looks pretty much part of the car. I think it's worth the investment.

I had hoped this might be the solution for me, but unfortunately the cover slid around on my leather seats. The headrest cover would slide to the side and the seat cusion portion would shift with weight and movement. ( I have a 105 lb. dog, so this would probably not be an issue for someone with a smaller breed) The material was very nice and they seem well made. I think the concept could be improved by straps that could be adjusted for a tighter fit with velcro and/or use a non-slip material for the backing. The top portion, where the head rest goes might not slide off the side if it were more fully enclosed. Even though this didn't work for me, I feel it is a great idea, and might work for other dog owners.

It's very good - for an older dog that doesn't move around too much this is perfect. For a new puppy - it works well but the puppy is still getting used to a car so trying to keep him on the seat is a challenge but it did protect my leather seat from his claws.
