The overall design of the bed is great. It is very soft, yet thick and comfortable for my dog. The structure holds its shape very well.
The material is very nice. Dog fur brushes off nicely and shakes off even better!
The round nest design is excellent for a "curler" such as my lab.
A bit difficult to wash & dry.

Our dog turned 10 in December 2008 and she has started to get a lot stiffer and arthritic. I wanted to find a bed for her that had a bolster-type pillow for her to lean on and one that would not smell like dog. We really love the bed so far. Our dog was a bit hesitant at first because the bed has a lot of air in it at first and it was a bit awkward. She also was not used to having to step over an edge to get into her bed. But she has finally embraced her new bed. She looks very comfortable when she is laying in it. We have the purple bed and our dog has black hair - I can't see much hair on it and we have had it for 6 weeks. I did not give this 5 stars because we have not attempted to wash it yet, so I may need to update our review later!

This bed is Super Durable! The covers come off easily and look great wash after wash. Better yet they go ON easily because there's an inner cover of water resistant slippery nylon which also keeps odors out of the stuffing and keeps the occasional old dog urine leaks out too. Great for dogs who like to have a backrest and curl up a bit. My two german shorthairs love their Dog Nests. We humans didn't want a big expensive sofa-like dogbed that took up half the room - but the dogs love a backrest. This was a great compromise. Very styling and hip looking too. You can even get replacement covers - not that these will wear out but you might want a different color in 10 years. We also like that the stuffing is simply washable strips of recylced fleece fabric that would have otherwise gone to the landfill.
