I chose this bed for it's orthopedic qualities, and washable cover. My dog has spondylosis, and she needs a very thick bed to rest on. However, she's also incontinent from time to time. What would make this bed perfect would be to make a waterproof liner that is designed to fit the mattress. The construction quality is very good. The durability of the fleece top does not withstand the scratching(nesting)of my dogs nails. It is already thinning out in spots.

I have a husky who has bad hips. She has a difficult time getting up in the morning. But since I purchased her a new bed, she's acting like a puppy again. I can tell she's much more comfortable now.

I purchased 2 of these for our dogs. One is a 10 year old cattle dog and the other is a 12 year old blue healer foster. I put them in my home office where I work most of the day. We have hardwood floors and I thought the dogs would like the softness of these beds. They are very nicely made. And I don't think they will wear out like the others I have purchased. The dogs don't seem too thrilled about them yet. But when the weather gets cooler, I bet they will.

My dog just loves this bed. When he is not running around like a rabid beast, he is relaxing on his bed. Also, it is his mission in life to "kill" anything soft that he gets his mouth on, and he has destroyed several beds in the past. He must really love this one, because it has been months and it is still in one piece!
