Dog owner for many years now. This dog bed is better than my bed. When I can't find my oversize shepherds, they have gone back to their room to sleep on their beds. My dogs are hot by nature, so it's nice to turn the beds over (no sheepskin) and the beds still look just as good, even better! Very easy to take off for wash. Hang dry, as you might get some unraveling on interior near zipper. Otherwise excellent, excellent quality.

We're on our third one of these beds. We had a large and a small for our Weimaraner mix and Pug, respectively. Our beloved Weim passed on to the dog park in the sky and when a new puppy joined the family, he ate the smaller bed. We ordered a new one and after several weeks, were contacted by the company (Heather K.? She was wonderful!) to let us know that there was a problem with the supplier and that the bed wasn't available in the color we ordered. She did offer us one in another color and we accepted happily, so our precious Pug is once again sleeping in royal comfort. The puppy also loves the larger bed and for whatever the reason, never tried to eat that one! Meanwhile, the cover on the large bed fell apart very early on and I ordered a replacement. The custom-made (expensive) replacement was a bit too small. I should have sent it back and didn't...bad idea. The seams on it disintegrated early on, and I've sewn it back together several times, but it's in very tough shape. I'm thinking of having a local tailor make a replacement for us, as it will most likely be quicker, less expensive, and more durable. Still love the beds, though, and will say that when our Weim was experiencing some discomfort and health problems, he slept through the night for the first time in three years after we bought that bed!

Other than my dog, this is the best thing I have ever brought into my home. I have a 10 year old black lab mix. He was a rescue that came with hip problems. He could not get out of bed in the morning without struggling and crying for the first few minutes. It was heartbreaking. Somehow I came across this bed while doing research online, and I am so upset that I never found it sooner. Since day one my dog's health has improved 100%. He LOVES this bed and spends as much time as he can on it. He no longer has hip problems and gets out of his bed with ease in the morning. No more tears! I know it may seem a little crazy to spend this much money on a bed for a dog, but if you truly love and care for your pet and their comfort and health, this is the best thing you can buy. It was worth every penny, and after seeing the way it has helped my dog, I would've gladly paid more. It did more for him than any vet ever has. GET THIS BED!

Our dog is young still, only 4 - but has a leg issue so we got him the smallest ortho bed. It's a bit big for a small bed, but just fits into his favorite window nook. He loves it - spends much more time on it than his old bed, or the floor. Guests comment they'd like to nap in it too :}

Just got the new bed a few days ago and Bear LOVES it. After learning his hips/back legs are going, I've been on a mission to make him as comfy as possible, and this dog bed is just what he needed. It's super comfortable, I could even sleep on it. I researched a number of beds for him and this one was definitely the right choice. It's well constructed and quite stylish! It did take about 3 weeks or so to arrive as advertised.

I was concerned I had lost my mind paying so much money for a dog bed! But have not been disapointed with my purchase. My elder dog who use to wake up and hobble down the hallway from bad hips to the door acts like a new dog. She sleeps for hours stretched out like the most spoiled puppy! A much improvement on her health and I feel like the quality of the bed will last some time. The one concern of the white sheepskin top staying dirty was incorrect. It vaccums up easily and looks good still after over a month not having to wash it yet!

I purchased this product for my older akita/mix with very bad arthritis. Of course I had to buy one for my two year old Shepard. They both absolutely love them. The bed is quite thick (almost as thick as my box spring on my bed) and at first I thought my Diva would have a hard time getting up on it. Not the case. She loves it and so does her brother.

I find it very easy to vacuum since it is very firm. I would highly recommend this bed

My dog likes this bed, and it is very thick and has stayed that way in this first month of use. He and I can sit on it together (thats how study it is!) However, it took 22 days to come. This is only 1 day later than the guidelines, but its still a really long time.

We have two Bull mastiffs (male and female) who love to play in the snow. Our 2 1/2 year old male injured himself after he collided with the female while running down a snow covered slope and landing on his side. A few days/nights later, we noticed that he was limping badly and that he was unable to get comfortable while resting or sleeping. He was constantly getting up and laying back down in various positions on their twin 'people' mattress (yes, our dogs are spoiled) behind the sofa in the great room , the carpeted floors in various rooms of the house, the dog beds in the garage, or on their "orthopedic" foam beds in the master bedroom where they sleep at night. He would get up several times during the night and whimper while standing in place for up to half an hour each occurrence. He was unable to lay down comfortably for more than twenty minutes or so at any given time. Our vet examined him and said that he had probably badly strained a ligament and/or muscle, and that he was re-aggravating it every time he went outside and played. The vet suggested that we restrict his activity for a couple of months until he healed properly. As Bull mastiffs are such large dogs, we were hoping to find a good quality orthopedic style bed to make him comfortable so that he would be able sleep through the night. While surfing various websites, I found"Oh-My-Dog-Supplies" and the Orthopedic Caress Dog Bed. After researching the bed, we believed this to be the best option for our Bully. Upon us waking in the morning, the night after our boy had spent his first night on his new bed, we saw what was to be an ongoing problem. Normally, when we get up in the morning, our male would be wide awake and standing at the bedroom door waiting to be let out. Now, he does not want to get up off the bed! He is sooooo comfortable, he no longer gets up during the night to shift positions. Each morning we literally have to wake and then coax him to get up off his bed . In the past, at the end of the day, we had to lead him by the collar from the matress in the great room to the foam dog bed in the master bedroom. Now, when he is ready to call it a night, he simply walks himself to his Orthopedic Caress Dog Bed and plops down for another night of blissful sleep. Thanks guys for such a wonderful product!!!

PS. After only a week and a half of sleeping on his new bed, he is no longer limping or showing any signs of pain. He is back to romping and playing like he did before the injury!

He's 45 lbs and I am 140lbs - and we got a large bed. I have tried many other (also expensive) beds that have been rejected by him (he is a finicky border collie) - but he seems happy with this one because its firm and high enough he can look down on my other dog with a pillow bed - and it helps I can sit with him to show him that the cool dogs sit on this bed. I was going to contact u to tell u how happy I am w/ our choice. Do u offer the identical thing with a waterproof barrier between cover and orthopedic foam? I could get a 7" one w/ this feature but I like your 8" one better.

If so, I can't order it fast enough. I bought it for the extremely arthritic (hips, spine) Brittany spaniel from Brittany rescue organization but the Yorkie loves it more -- but I knew this would happen. If u let me have a 2nd cover for it for half off, I'll buy one. My Brittany spaniel is now urinating whenever she's napping/sleeping and is drinking a lot. I let her out all the time and she lets me know when she needs to, but this still happens, esp. when she's napping during the evening next to us when we're in the family room watching TV.

FINALLY a dog bed that will not flatten. Almost all my dog beds i have bought over the years within a few months of use pancake and become flat and useless. This bed is really thick and so far it is great, especially for me because i have hard wood floors. I was a little apprehensive at first because i needed the XL large one ([$])but it is well worth it. I have a large 130lb Johnson's American bulldog and he fits on it just fine. Highly recommended!!

My 3-year old Weimaraner loves this bed. This orthopedic bed was the last hope to save my 34 year marriage. REALLY!! Shylo has been allowed to sleep on the bed with us, as long as he was on my side of the bed, but a little over a motnh ago we moved to a new home and bought all new furniture. My husband said he would absolutely not tolerate the dog sleeping on the new bed. No "ifs ands or buts". The first night, I called Shylo to lay on the bed and he never once looked back. He has never once asked to get on the new bed and he sleeps in way beyond he the time he used to get up (around 5:30AM). He lves the bed and it is PLENTY big enough for him. I purchased 2 of these for my English Mastiffs, primarily "Jake" our 3 year old mastiff who tips the scales at 190. Jake was always on the couch, since the beds have arrived Jakes splits his time between the bed and the couch during the day...we bought 2, one for downstairs and one for upstairs in the bedroom, he sleeps on the one in the bedroom everynight. We also have a 6 month old mastiff that is 85 pounds now, he will be on the beds whenever Jake isnt. I wanted a comfortable place for the dogs, this bed fits the bill, we have had them for a month, so far so good, they are firm enough for Jake to rest on without smashing it to the ground. Very Happy so far. The only con on the product is that they can be a bit pricey, but I have gone through at least 5 other beds in 3 years that havent held up to his wieght. If it holds up over time, the price will have been worth it. We throw a blanket over the bed and just wash that each week, it should help with wear and tear, and is easier than taking the cover off of the bed to wash it.

They all love the XL beds!
The three smaller dogs curl up on one together -cute and comfortable.
It is the only bed we have found, to offer true comfort and support for our huge Anatolian.
Easy to vacuum - easy cover to wash.
Highly recommend this product.

I received (or I should say my dog received) this bed for Christmas and I'm impressed with its quality and comfort- it's almost as comfortable as my own mattress! My dog is about 70 pounds and as you can see in the photo, the large bed is more than big enough for him. It's definitely an improvement over the last dog bed he had.

I bought this for my Lab because he was diagnosed with bone cancer and the vet recommended a orthopedic bed to keep him comfortable. He loves his new bed and it came just in time for Christmas!! He sleeps on it every night and doesn't get on the couch anymore which is a BIG help with keeping hair off of our furniture. It is also very large and he has plenty of room to spread out and not worry about falling off. I was skeptical at first because it was very expensive for a dog bed, but it is defiently worth every penny!!

My dogs are both around 70 pounds and are getting old. The boy has joint problems, which is the reason I got this bed. When he wakes up in the morning he moves much better! Both of them sleep on it and absolutely love it. Sometimes they retreat to the bedroom early just to lay on the bed. Definitely worth the money!

We have an English Mastiff and this is a wonderful bed. We tried pillows and other items and she would just end up fighting her way on to the couch for more comfort. Bella liked the first extra-large so much we bought a second one so that there was one up and down stairs.

They are large and not very portable.

I do not understand the comments about tearing. We have had the first one now for three years. It has been through its paces and not a single issue.

Spend the money on the 100% micro velvet. Take it off, throw it in the washer and it is just like new. It may take two to put the cover back on though. :)

I was very pleased about how thick the memory foam is on the bed! My girls just love it! I have two "pound puppies"...one 45 and one 55 lbs and they both fit comfortably on the bed together! The outer microfiber with the fleece top is very sturdy. The only thing I would have changed is the color they used for the embroidery on the front because it doesn't stand out very well. Overall though, the product is much better than I would have thought by the picture and description. I would definitely purchase another bed or other products for our dogs from Oh My Dog supplies!

My 8-year-old, 115lb Rottie is getting a bit arthritic and I wanted to give him a supportive bed. Being a big boy, he breaks down the fiberfill and other foam beds quickly. But this one is grand! He barely creates a dent as he lays on it. Took him a few days to get used to it, but now he loves it! I highly recommend this for anyone with a big, heavy dog. They'll love it.

I bought this bed for my Golden Retriever. He is 10 years old and 75lbs and the LARGE size leaves extra room so he can lie down in all positions. He LOVES it! Since I gave this bed to my dogs Heidi and Winston they loved it! There is room for the two of them and it keeps my large dog Heidi off the furniture! The only problem was after one week the seams started to split. Now there is a no way that my dogs can lay on the sheepskin side! I contacted the company and I have yet to hear how they plan to fix this problem.That was over a month ago. My advice, don't get the sheepskin on the cover!

Our rottweiler loves his bed and has a much easier time getting up in the morning. Other beds I had purchased would always flatten under his weight (100 lbs) so it was like he was on the floor anyway. If you have an older dog with hip or joint issues this is a must have. It is a heavy bed and washing the cover can be a pain but I throw a blanket on top so we don't have to wash the cover as often. Great quality for the money!

Exactly what I looking for in a dog bed. Just a note for those wondering about size - I purchased the medium bed for my 40 lb. beagle/lab mix. I wasn't sure if it was the right size since he alternates between stretching out and curling up in a ball. The medium-sized bed is huge! It's perfect for him - he can stretch out completely without hanging off either end. I've only had the bed about a month, but he really seems to like it and I'm certainly impressed with it so far. I've already washed the cover a few times and it's been very easy to get on and off the mattress.

I have three small dogs who like to sleep together. This bed is like a human mattress, a real bed! They all jump up (it is very thick!) and find a comfortable spot with room for a pillow if they want to use it. They don't have to have a bulge or bump or shallow spot to lay on and all three have equal comfort. The one thing I don't like is that it seems to attract lint and bits of "stuff" but the cover is easy to clean and remove and replace so it's not such a big deal - also can be vacuumed with a handheld easily enough.

My dog loves the comfort of this bed if she just wouldn't fall off! She is a 12 1/2 year old lab mix and her butt keeps falling off this bed and then she has trouble getting up. We've shoved the bed against the wall and that has helped. The thickness is comfortable and I think she likes the bed, but she was afraid of it until we figured out to protect two sides by putting it in a corner.

At first I thought it was insane to spend this much money on a bed for my dog. However, this guy is a 9-year old very arthritic lab who spent 7 years in a puppy mill and 2 years at a shelter. I felt he needed something that would wear well and give comfort to his joints. He deserved to be treated well after no real life before now. We have a 10 year old, 120 pound Black Lab (as well as another lab, a golden, and a lab puppy). Our big Lab is crazy about this bed. She needs the orthopedic support and it is so soft. She actually puts herself to bed she she'd tired. The other dogs like it too and the others can lay together. It's a great size. Perfect, really. I probably would have ordered the really big one if I thought it would be worth the difference in price. I do think the super big one would be difficult to store or find a place for in the house. But if I were to buy another one, I would love to have one of each. By a mile, this is the nicest pet bed I've ever seen. We love it.

My Italian greyhound broke both of her front legs. Thanks to a wonderful Vet, and 8 months of care, she is alive and well. I use this mat beside my bed where she jumps down from being on my bed. She must jump down on a soft surface down that her legs have healed. She loves it. Considers it her place and the Vet recommends it.

Someday you should make one in PINK...for the ladies to use in the bedrooms for the little girls. Again, I love it.

I bought this "expensive" bed for my newly adopted 120 lb. 9 year old arthritic Lab. Barney is so crippled from arthritis that he has difficulty walking. When he finally decided to try out his new bed (never had that kind of luxury before) he really liked it. He seems to be moving a little easier. I attribute this not only to chondroitin,glucosamine,MSM, but to his new cushy bed. My other, younger dogs, envy him, but he seldom gives them a chance to lay on it. The cover does come off for cleaning, although the bed is so large that it won't be easy. If you have an incontinent dog I would recommend covering it with something waterproof or use a liner under the outside cover.

I searched long and hard for the perfect bed for my two mastiffs. My male weighs 220lbs and my female is about 120lbs. I have tried numerous beds and the worst thing about the other dog beds was once you washed the cover it was nearly impossible to put it back on the bed. These beds are thick, the covers come off and on easily and my dogs LOVE them. They are large though so storage can be a problem. I have room in the bedroom for them and the dogs sleep all night on them. Sometimes around 11pm or so, they will go to bed without me ! LOL. I highly recommend these beds for the price and quality, they are top notch!

If my 120 pound Swissy can't sleep on our queen sized Tempurpedic, this is the next best thing. He loves it! Super thick - the dog doesn't come close to bottoming out. I was afraid the large wouldn't be big enough, but it's perfect.

We bought the large Caress orthopedic dog bed for Angel, our aging boxer mutt. She *loves* it. We can't get her off the thing. We've been carrying it upstairs every night, and back downstairs in the morning. We finally gave up and ordered another bed so that she has one both up and down stairs.

I will say that the large is ridiculously large. It could easily fit two of her. We've ordered the medium for our downstairs bed so that perhaps we could share some of the living room space with her royal highness.

I recommend this product without hesitation. So does Angel.

I have an 8 year old large lab. He loves this new bed. It has a nice thickness and is soft, but supportive. The only recommendation I might have is to offer this bed in different shapes. I think he would have prefered an oval shape.

This is the best bed for older large dogs - I have two 9 year old 100lb Labs and they love these beds. Can't get them off the beds! The beds are large, so you need ample room, but it's well worth it. I have tried 11 other beds and this is the best. The beds are thick and mold to the dog. The covers clean well and have shown no wear yet.

I like this bed because it is firm like a mattress. I was tired of formless dog beds--guess it just makes things feel "neater."

Even though the bed seems to be of very high quality and looks really great, my older lab just didn't like it. Either it was too high for him to climb on to or he just couldn't get comfortable on it. I don't know. He seems to prefer a bed with a bolster style headrest all around it. So we bought another one from you of that style, and he really likes it. Also seems to be of very high quality. I use these beds in our living room and they look great. Some people are actually suprised they are for dogs not people. The dogs are cozy and comfortable on these beds and are happy to stay off the furniture.

Great bed - Only negative is that the protective cover on the egg crate material that composes the bed is thin and tears easily. However, the actual dog bed cover is made of very strong, high quality material and is fantastic!

This bed has become the place to be when our 2 year old grand daughter comes over...likes to hang there with or without the dog and play with her toys!
Getting the cover back on after cleaning is a little tight but doable.

I rescued Speedbump from a dumpster on the rez and she's been the favorite of everyone who's met her. She's fighting cancer now and I wanted her to have the very best. She sleeps very well, and even had the strength to pick a fight with a bear the other morning.
